Eight Point Wind, LLC (“Eight Point Wind”) is proposing to construct a major electric generating facility in the Towns of Greenwood and West Union in Steuben County, New York (the “Facility”). In order to construct the Facility, Eight Point Wind is seeking a certificate of environmental compatibility and public need (“Certificate”) from the New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment (“Siting Board”) pursuant to Article 10 of the Public Service Law (“PSL”) and the Siting Board’s rules (16 NYCRR Part 1000).
Pursuant to PSL § 163 and Section 1000.5 of the Siting Board’s rules (16 NYCRR § 1000.5), Eight Point Wind submitted twelve paper copies of its Preliminary Scoping Statement (“PSS”) New York State Public Service Commission. An electronic copy of the PSS can also be found at the links below.
